Described by many as a self styled showman with a flair for renaissance, David D. Haddad has been collecting rare cigars and one of a kind spirits for three decades. A bard in the world of cigars and prohibition era spirits, David has brought some of the most famous of the world’s decision makers, entertainers and captains of industry to step back in time and “Experience the Moment” with his stories and collectibles.
Introducing to the Cigar industry an entirely new business model, providing luxury hospitality industry, world class event production to nationally recognized gatherings (PGA, Barrett Jackson, Churchill Downs, Masters, AT&T Pebble Beach) and major corporations personal amenity programs on a national scale.
David is a sought after public speaker and a member of the “Distinguished Speakers Series” University of Denver.
Coast to coast excellence
Founded Fumar Cigars in 1994, operations in 40 states and 39 markets providing cigar services to 400+ resorts and clubs from coast to coast, cigar retail store and private club opened in late 2007 in Phoenix, Arizona.
Skilled in creating new lounges, reinventing existing cigar programs, developing marketing strategies for cigar events/resorts/golf clubs, David has over 44 years in the hospitality world and 30 years overlapped in the cigar industry.

Friends of Freedom
David founded Flagship Freedom aka Sticks for Soldiers in 2003 providing cigars to deployed service members through Blue Star Moms “Packages from Home” care packs. Fumar Cigars donated over 100,000 cigars to troops in the first 4 years with the licensed logos of each of the military branch mascots.
Through 2022 April, David has delivered over 1.4 million cigars into the war zone to one of the many personally founded cigar clubs within the Middle East Theater of Operations particularly to USO Victory base, Baghdad, Iraq and The Tillman Center in Bagram, Afghanistan.
Fumar Cigars/Friends of Freedom has hosted over 550 events, supplying cigars and smiles for the deployed troops in Afghanistan, Kuwait, Bahrain, Germany, Korea, North Africa and Iraq. David partnered with the USO, including Boxer/Smokers and Friday night cigar nights, for over 17 years downrange.
Clubs founded include: Victory, Hickory and Sather Cigar Clubs and Tali-Banned Aficionado Club in Afghanistan (over 28 chapters throughout theater) and Ike Cigar Club aboard the USS Eisenhower. David performed cigar events in 27 forward bases in Iraq and Afghanistan during 2008-2009.
Friends Of Freedom provides support service and program support for over 20 different annual benefits to hundreds, often over 1000, service members per year.
